Measuring a total of 4200 m2 in area, the Châlons-Vatry cargo terminal has dedicated a full 2500 m2 for the storage of perishable goods and 1700 m2 for dry cargo such as materials, spare parts, and so on. The terminal can currently handle up to 60 000 tonnes of freight a year.
Vatrys perishable goods centre is one of the largest, most modern facilities in Europe and includes 5 cold storage rooms (with temperatures ranging between 0° C and 12° C) designed specifically for fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers, as well as fish, meat and prepared foods. The centre boasts a refrigeration room reserved for export produce and a 20 m2 freezer facility. |
