Following is a series of day tours in the vicinity of Vatry International Airport that will enhance your appreciation of the Champagne region and the premium sparkling wine for which it is so well known.

 

1 - Massif de St-Thierry – Arche Valley: (in sky blue on map)
Follow in the footsteps of the kings of France as you traverse this region of vineyards and forests that together form a splendorous backdrop for a succession of picturesque villages steeped in royal tradition.

2 – Reims Mountain (in yellow on map)
On the slopes of this local landmark, you will discover some of France’s most prized vineland and a regional nature park with over 70 km of trails.

3 – En route to Épernay (in green on map)

This tour features a series of magnificent viewpoints, and provides a fascinating insight into the rich heritage of Épernay and environs.

4 - Marne Valley: (in blue on map)

The valley’s impeccably preserved villages, fabled vineyards and prestige wine cellars are certain to provide moments of sheer delight.

5 - Côtes des blancs and Coteaux du Sézannais (in white on map)
Côtes des blancs, birthplace of chardonnay wines: here the famed villages, with names you will readily recognize, resemble amphitheatres carved into the surrounding hillsides. Neighbouring Coteaux du Sézannais offers a pleasing blend of pastoral and wine-producing countryscapes. Both regions include a wealth of historic points of interest.

6 – The Barsequanais (in red on map):
Bordering France’s famed Burgundy region is Les Riceys, the largest champagne-producing area with three guaranteed vintages of origin or appellations d'origine contrôlée.

7 – Baralbin Country (in red on map):

No tour of Champagne would be complete without a trip to the royal crystalworks at Bayel. The ovens of this noble establishment have been in operation since 1666.
