ur mission at SEVE, the private body set up to oversee development at Vatry, is to provide all guests and partners with the best in welcoming and assistance services. Time and again since the inception of airport operations in 2000, our focus on customer loyalty and development has inspired us to go the extra distance to ensure that the “Vatry experience” is perceived as an across-the-board success.

2005 proved ripe with developments in each of the following sectors of activity :
With an aggregate through-put of 37 670 tonnes of air cargo, Vatry now ranks among the leading regional airports in France and has assumed its rightful place alongside cargo hubs elsewhere in Europe;
The opening of a new 4000 m2 passenger terminal, custom built to satisfy the needs of tour operators and low cost carriers, has opened up a host of opportunities for developing passenger flight activity from Vatry;
On the logistics side, the signing of several agreements to purchase respecting tracts of land totalling more than 20 hectares in area, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding relating to the development of a parcel of land some 120 hectares in area made 2005 the best year in our short five-year history.

2006 stands ripe with the promise of ongoing achievements :
An 8100 m2 cargo terminal equipped with high performance handling equipment and leading edge computer technology is scheduled to open for business in October. The new terminal will boost Vatry cargo capacity to 120 000 tonnes a year;
A further 4 positions will be added to the airport apron, enabling Vatry to accommodate up to 8 wide-body aircraft at a time;
A second comfortable, people-friendly crew lounge with dedicated work and rest spaces is nearing completion and set to open early in the year.
